- Big Sycamore Canyon Family Camp: This leashed pet-friendly site features tent/RV spaces and hike and bike campsites, plus restrooms, showers, drinking water, and fire rings.
- Lake Casitas Recreation Area: This 400-campsite area in Ventura offers picnic tables, fire rings, and playground access. It is a favorite among locals and tourists alike, so make sure you book your campsite in advance. You can even bring your dog! Just make sure he or she stays on a leash.
- Lake Piru Recreation Area: If you want easy access to fishing and boat rentals, this site can deliver. It also features 238 campsites with a picnic table, fire ring, and grill top, hot showers, and a store for your convenience.
- Leo Carrillo State Park: Situated in Malibu, this site offers 135 sites with tables and fire rings. There are restrooms, drinking water access, and showers, as well. Whether you are looking for a group site to accommodate your party of fifty people or just want to head out with the kids, this location—just 1.5 miles from the beach—will be perfect.
